A tier is a promise, not just a price
Write the benefit in one plain sentence. “More content” is difficult to evaluate; an explicit content series or agreed access difference is easier to understand and fulfil. Avoid introducing a premium tier simply because other creators have one.
Fansly supports multiple tiers, multi-month plans and private offers. That flexibility is useful, but every additional option creates another promise to manage.
Map access before you publish
Check which posts and benefits each subscription unlocks, including whether lower tiers are included. Review from a fan’s perspective and keep your offer description aligned with the actual permissions.
When paid media is sold separately, say so. A fan should not discover after subscribing that the benefit they expected is an additional purchase.
| Decision | Write down |
|---|---|
| Included content | Specific categories or series |
| Frequency | A schedule you can realistically maintain |
| Tier overlap | Which other access is included |
| Separate purchases | What remains outside the subscription |
| Custom requests | Whether they exist and who approves them |
Want to put this into practice?
Let’s talk about your accountPrice the work, then test the offer
Estimate production and fulfilment time, platform deductions and any management costs. Those estimates do not tell you what an audience will pay, but they reveal an offer that cannot work for you even if it sells.
Launch with a documented hypothesis, a review date and a measure of success. Look at renewals and workload alongside initial purchases. A more expensive tier with substantial custom work may leave less time and income than a simpler package.
Keep discounts separate from the regular offer
A promotion should explain its duration, any redemption limit and the renewal price. Fansly has separate tools for public discounts and private links; review the actual checkout experience before sharing a promotion.
Do not let a short launch discount become the only price fans ever see. Decide what you want to learn from it and what happens when it ends.
A LITTLE CLARITY
Your questions, answered.
Do I need several tiers at launch?
Not necessarily. A clear, manageable offer is more useful than a complex menu you cannot fulfil. Add tiers when you can identify a distinct benefit and enough capacity to deliver it.
Does a higher tier automatically include everything below it?
Check your Fansly configuration. Lower-tier inclusion can be configured, so your description and permissions need to agree.
